Their garments will be made with threads obtained from plants that will create a 100% organic fabric . The two firms have worked together before to create a product free of “plastics and micro-plastics” made with organic plant-based fibers wrapped in natural rubber.
In a world where resources are dwindling and landfills are full of discarded clothing, it is our duty to look for renewable resources, as well as biodegradable and compostable materials.

The collaboration with Candiani seems to be the next step towards a more sustainable future, especially since denim manufacturing involves a large use of water ( 3,000 liters) for a single pair of jeans, in addition to the contamination of it with toxic dyes.
Stella McCartney and Candiani's new line will be dyed with Indigo Juice and Kitotex Vigital, a biodegradable dye derived from fungi and algae.
The firms declare that there will be much less use of water and energy than the other toxic alternatives known so far.
